Remote Office Solution (R.O.S.) provides a new concept in information and resource management. The main applications, the server and the database all concentrate in the headquarters, and remote offices only needs to have any kind of connection, such as a telephone line, broadband or a lease line, connecting to the local Internet Service Provider (I.S.P.), in order to perform Online Operations. Each workstation will then become Thin Clients (with low system requirements), and can operate by connecting to the headquarters' server. Such a setup enables companies to control costs more effectively, and maximize efficiency and productivity in the long-run.

Protecting Data Damages Due To Computer Malfunction and Network Failure
In traditional networks, if any workstation encounters malfunction or network failure, the consequences are unpredictable and may cause damage or loss of data. Our concept of Thin Clients provides a means of protection. For example, a company sets her server in Hong Kong, and if a branch office in another location encounters a power failure, the system in the headquarters (Hong Kong) is not affected and continues to operate. The server then recognizes the malfunctioning branch office user as in Waiting Mode. Once power resumes in the branch office and the user enters the system again, it continues to work where it had left off. This is because the real data has never left the server. Unsaved work resides in the server's RAM, while saved data resides in the server’s fixed memory.

All calculations and tasks are done by the server. This minimizes data transfer between connections to the ultimate minimum, reducing network traffic and enhancing network performance. Maximum Data Security and Encryption
By using Thin Clients, all data including its operations reside in the server. Thin Clients only display a resulting screen, and each single input is sent instantly to the server. No data resides on Thin Client workstations. All you need is to provide a means of protection and backup for the server. In addition, communications from Thin Client workstations, online or offline, uses the highest possible 128 bit standard RC4 encryption. All data are required to be analyzed, encrypted, authenticated and re-structured before use. This mechanism prevents unauthorized access or leakage of confidential data.

Remote offices or workstations only requires a network telephone and VoIP Gateway, in order to connect to PBX, Keyline, PSTN, fax machines or telephones, via an internet connection or an IP VPN connection to overseas and local offices. Offices are closely connected, and can now communicate globally while saving costs for long distance phone calls.

Video Conference
With a basic installation of network digital video cameras, remote offices and workstations can perform video conferences with overseas or local companies via internet connection or IP VPN connections.

Central Fax Server
Remote offices can take advantage of a Central Fax Server implemented in the headquarter server, via ROS and internet connections, to transfer the fax to headquarters, other remote offices and locations, then send the fax locally. Long distance faxes are no longer needed, and you can even monitor, manage and control incoming and outgoing fax messages.

By setting up a Central Mail Server in the main or remote offices, there is no longer a need to setup individual mail servers for each locations. All incoming and outgoing mails can be automatically logged in a log file, providing you a means of monitoring and controlling mail activities, and prevent abuses of mail services.
